As many can read on the “About The Author” page, I have been doing drag for about 5 years. However, what many people do not know on that page, is about all the ups and downs I have went through when I first started doing drag.
Britney Summers was born on Halloween night 2012 when a good friend of mine suggested that we “Swapped” genders for the evening. Little did she know, that after I put on that first pair of heels, I was instantly hooked. Throughout the next few months, I had devoted my life to learning about the craft of female impersonation. Through months of preparation, I finally landed my first gig. On the night of July 11, 2013, I performed for the first time at Club Afterlife in Scottsdale, AZ.
Over the years, I have grown absolutely tremendously. From being in my first pageant just 3 months after the first time I got on stage, to having my own show in 2015. I have had an amazing career.
My style is best commonly known as a pageant queen. Some of my titles and achievements have included Miss One N Ten (Honorary), Miss Junior Glendale, Miss Junior Phoenix Gay Pride 1st Alternate, and so many more. All of which I have devoted my time and energy into to help spread the systems names.
When I first started drag, I always carried around a motto that I want to give others the chance to be themselves. And over the years, I have given countless amount of performers that chance to grow as performers, and have given many the chance to grace the stage.
I have had tremendous support from fans, family, friends, and past promoters, and I am forever grateful for all that they have done.
Currently I am on a ONE YEAR hiatus from performing to spend time with my little one, but behind-the-scenes, I have never really stopped. Which, is when I decided to drag My Dragged Up Life back from the grave.
